Philosophy of Care
While creating attractive smiles remains an important goal, Dr. Heiner believes orthodontics should accomplish much more. His philosophy is to develop smiles that are not only beautiful, but also functional, stable, and supportive of healthy breathing throughout life. Above all, Dr. Heiner strives to treat every patient with honesty, respect, and compassion. His goal is for every individual who enters his practice to receive the same level of care he would want for members of his own family.
Expertise
As a Diamond Plus Invisalign® provider, he has completed more than 3,000 Invisalign cases and is known for creating the signature Heiner Smile with beautiful, functional, and predictable results.
Dr. Heiner has also developed a special interest in airway-focused orthodontics and early facial development. He believes that guiding jaw growth during childhood can often create room for permanent teeth, reduce the need for extractions, improve nasal breathing, and establish a healthier foundation for lifelong oral and overall health.
Creating the Signature Heiner Smile for Generations
Since opening Heiner Orthodontics in 1980, Dr. Heiner has helped thousands of patients throughout his career. A specialist in treating challenging cases, Dr. Heiner never tires of watching a patient’s personality transform as they move through treatment and see their smile come to life. From treating future film stars like Jeremy Renner (a Modesto native!) to caring for the kids and grandkids of former patients, Dr. Heiner is proud to have been a trusted orthodontist for the Modesto community and surrounding areas.
Academic Excellence and Advanced Training
Dr. Heiner earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, one of the world’s most respected dental schools. He was also the first student accepted into the university’s orthodontic program immediately after graduating from dental school, a testament to academic excellence and passion for the field.
