What Are LightForce Braces?
LightForce braces are a modern orthodontic system that uses fully customized, 3D-printed brackets designed specifically for each patient’s unique smile. Unlike traditional braces, which use standard, one-size-fits-all brackets, every LightForce bracket is digitally created to match the exact shape and position of your teeth.
Your treatment begins with a digital scan of your smile, which allows Dr. Heiner to create a personalized treatment plan before your braces are even placed. Using advanced planning software, each bracket is precisely designed and then bonded to your teeth in its intended position using a custom placement tray. Throughout treatment, specially selected archwires work with these custom brackets to gradually guide your teeth into alignment according to your treatment plan.
Benefits of LightForce Braces
Modern technology can make a meaningful difference throughout your orthodontic journey. Discover what sets LightForce braces apart from traditional braces, and why Dr. Heiner specifically chose this braces system for his practice.
Custom-Made for Your Smile
Every LightForce bracket is custom designed using a digital scan of your teeth, creating a truly personalized orthodontic experience. Instead of relying on standardized brackets, your treatment is built specifically for your smile from day one, allowing for precise placement and a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.
Greater Comfort Throughout Treatment
Since LightForce brackets are designed to fit the natural contours of your teeth, many patients experience a more comfortable treatment process compared to traditional braces. The customized fit helps create a smoother experience, making it easier to adjust to life with braces while working toward a healthier smile.
Fewer Adjustments and Wire Changes
LightForce braces are designed with efficiency in mind, helping treatment progress with fewer wire changes than traditional braces. In many cases, patients complete treatment using only four wires, reducing the number of adjustments needed while keeping your orthodontic care moving forward as planned.
Designed for More Efficient Treatment
With every bracket customized before treatment even begins, LightForce braces help create a highly precise treatment process. This advanced planning allows teeth to move according to your personalized treatment plan, often helping reduce overall treatment time while maintaining a focus on quality results.
The Braces Treatment Process
At Heiner Orthodontics, we will guide you through every stage of braces treatment with expert care and a team that’s committed to making your experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Your journey begins with a complimentary consultation, where Dr. Heiner will examine your smile, discuss your goals, and determine whether LightForce braces are the right treatment for you.
Once you decide to move forward, we’ll take a digital scan of your teeth to create your custom LightForce braces. Dr. Heiner carefully plans your treatment before your braces are placed, designing every detail to guide your teeth into their ideal positions with precision and predictability.
When your custom braces are ready, they’ll be placed using a precise bonding process to ensure each bracket is positioned exactly where it belongs. Throughout treatment, you’ll visit our office periodically so we can monitor your progress, make adjustments when needed, and keep your smile moving forward.
Once your teeth have reached their planned positions, your braces will be removed, revealing your beautifully aligned smile. We’ll review your results, answer any final questions, and make sure you’re confident about the next phase of wearing retainers.
Your smile deserves to last a lifetime, which is why retainers are an essential final step. Wearing your retainer as instructed helps keep your teeth in their new positions and protects the results you’ve worked hard to achieve for years to come.
